Fast Moving Consumer Goods

Several projects that fall under fast moving consumer goods like air fresheners, insecticides, soap dispensers and alike. These are low cost products, fabricated in large numbers and often sold in a supermarket environment. Revenue generation is mainly focused on selling refills for these devices. Design wise the challenge in this field is to create concepts that fit the low cost picture, meet regulatory standards and appeal to a large audience. This example is an electric air freshener concept that reduces visual noise by unifying bottle and device in one small continuous shape, while still complying with heating and condensation requirements. Aesthetically it stands out by avoiding the bulkiness often present in this product category. The different parts are detailed in such a way that the mold design for plastic injection is kept as simple as possible, with a minimal amount of elements needed for its production.
